Scarlo Machines was started by Shailesh Sheth in the year 1976. Bharat Sheth joined Scarlo as a partner in the year 1979. Both brothers hold a Bachelors and Masters in Mechanical Engineering degree from USA. Both brothers have extensive experience in the field of Mechanical design and its processes. Before starting Scarlo, both brothers had a combined work experience of more than 20 years in the USA where they learnt the importance of manufacturing processes, optimized and practical mechanical design for different applications. Shailesh Sheth worked for Cincinnati Milacron, Centerless grinding division as well as Shoe Centerless Machines division for 6 years before returning to India. Bharat Sheth worked as a SPM equipment designer for automated ammunition manufacturing in the USA including Philip Morris. Throughout the years, both have derived tremendous knowledge in the field of machine design. Chintan Sheth, joined Scarlo Machines in the year 2003 and brought in his knowledge of embedded systems and machine application design to the existing machines. This enabled the company to manufacture completely automated machines. With him on board we started manufacturing servo control machines since the year 2006. He joined the company after finishing his education in USA. Throughout the years, we have derived tremendous knowledge in the field of machine application, machine building, mechanics and automation.

Scarlo Machines manufactures High Precision Centerless Grinding Machines since 1976. Our machines are known for their long life, rigid design, precision repeatability, accurate results, cost effectiveness and productivity. All machines’ models have both twin grip as well as cantilevered type spindle design. Spindle bearings have a hydro dynamic design, essential for greater stock removal, roundness, and grinding finish. Our machine models have wheel widths of 150, 250, 300, 350, and 500mm. Antifriction linear bearings for dresser and infeed axis are the latest additions to the machines. Twin Grip type designs on the grinding and control wheel spindle for machine models SG300 (12”) and SG500 (20”) had been added for further strengthening our product line.

Our plant is capable of manufacturing two machines per month. All components that fit in to the machines are manufactured in‐house to maintain our quality standards. Our in‐house activities involve horizontal boring machines, milling machines, CNC turning, lathes, shaping, milling, surface and cylindrical grinders. Separate specialists are employed for precision assembly for each components.

We at Scarlo provide our customers with automatic feeding devices if required. We have design optimized automation solutions for many components keeping in mind the need of our customers. Some examples for those designs would be ring feeding devices, long bar attachments, valve feeding units, centralized hopper systems, shaft feeding lines (which link several machines together as a continuous process), universal joint cross feeders, pick‐n‐place attachments, conveyor systems, taper roller feeders, stacking systems, medicinal punch feeders, etc.
